Car Enthusiast John Brown founded Eastern Western Motor Group in 1927 and the company is now owned and run by his son Douglas. It represents 14 franchises, including Volkswagen, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Its 26 dealerships are mainly in the Scottish central belt with a concentration at Edinburgh’s Luxury Car Village. Sales increased to £288.5m in 2010, with Mazda, Nissan and Honda added to its portfolio.
