Mark Lang used £20,000 of his own savings to set up Eclipse, an internet service provider, in 1995. Based in Exeter, the company provides broadband and internet services to residential and business customers, including B&Q, Devon County Council and Brittany Ferries. Eclipse has more than 40,000 users and greater use of broadband services has pushed up sales 64% a year from £2m in 2001 to £5.3m in 2003. The company was acquired by Hull-based Kingston Communications in September for £12.5m.
