Edrington

Founded in 1855, the Edrington Group is a spirits producer boasting some of the world’s best-known whisky brands, both single malt and blends. They include the Macallan and Famous Grouse. Edrington also owns the Caribbean rum brand Brugal and has recently acquired full control of the Cutty Sark whisky brand, which has a large following in the Mediterranean. The Glasgow company increased sales by 44% to £419.9m in 2009 under chief executive Ian Curle.
