Founded in 1861, Glasgow’s Edrington makes Scotch whisky including the Macallan, the Famous Grouse and Cutty Sark, as well as rum brand Brugal and Snow Leopard vodka. Under chief executive Ian Curle, 56, the distiller has invested in a new software platform, to be implemented globally, and in May unveiled its £140m distillery in Speyside. Sales grew 5% to £739m in 2018.
