LARGE CONTRACTS have driven growth at Euro Dismantling Services, which provides decommissioning and decontamination services for BP, Shell and the British Nuclear Group. In 2001 it won a contract worth £18m over three years to maintain sites for a British oil refinery and, two years later, a £7m contract for two of Shell’s refineries in Asia. This has helped to push up sales 97% a year, from £3.4m in 2001 to £26.1m in 2004. Continuing to fuel growth, the company has recently negotiated three contracts to decommission plants in the beverage, chemical and oil industries. They have a total value of £25m. Andy McGee founded the company in 1994, when he was only 31 years old.
