University friends John Parker, 37, and Christiaan Ashworth, 37, set up END. in 2005 as a shop in Newcastle upon Tyne, before launching an online store a year later. The menswear retailer ships up to 9,000 parcels a day worldwide and sees more than 10m visitors to its website every month. It stocks more than 400 brands and designers such as Acne Studios, Off-White and Alexander McQueen. It is backed by private equity firm Index Ventures, which bought a minority stake for an undisclosed sum in 2014. In October last year, it opened its flagship store in London’s Soho, helping to boost sales to £134.7m and profits — the highest on the table — to £27m in the year to March.
