This digital marketing agency’s client list includes some of the internet’s biggest names, such as Google, YouTube, eBay and Expedia. The London firm recently ran a web campaign to promote Google Chrome across Europe, and is overseeing the global online marketing for the new Harry Potter website, Pottermore.com. It also designs applications for social media, such as Expedia’s Trip Advisor app, which was recently launched on Facebook. In May this year, Essence acquired the social media business Punktilio, gaining clients such as Arsenal and Phones 4U. Rapid international expansion led to sales growth of 111% a year, from £7.9m in 2008 to £74.2m in 2011.
