Founded by Mark Tyne, Craig Bates and Paul Cooke in 1998, this plastic bottle maker supplies bottles for juice, soft drinks, water and household products. Esterform has grown through acquisition, buying a larger competitor, Able Industries, in 2001, a move that broadened its range of products. It has since driven up sales 98% a year, from an annualised £1.8m in 2001 to £14.3m in 2004. This year, it acquired Pet Plas Packaging, also a larger business, from the Canadian company Alcan Packaging for an undisclosed amount. The deal is expected to more than double sales next year.
