Eurocall claims to be the largest independent telecoms provider in Britain, servicing 20,000 small and medium-sized businesses. The serial entrepreneur Nigel Warr founded the company in 1995 and, along with his marketing director Gerry Ashton, recently bought out Energis, an early investor, to regain control of the company. After the telecoms meltdown, Eurocall made five acquisitions, including RSL and Ventelo. The company now has offices in Manchester and London. Its sales have grown almost 101% a year from £6.5m in 1999 to £52.3m in 2002.
