Originally set up by Massimo Gini in 1975 to change money for tourists in London, Eurochange now has a network of bureaux de change in airports and railway stations across Europe, with the bulk of sales coming from supplying foreign currency to tour operators and hotels. This has driven up profits 52% a year from £1.7m in 1997 to £5.8m in 2000, when the London company had 372 workers.
