Everest has been in the home improvements business since 1965. Best-known for its double-glazing, the company’s other products include doors, conservatories, kitchens, driveways and security systems. In September 2007, managing director Simon Jarman led a £100m buyout backed by Hutton Collins. The company is expanding its range to include environmentally friendly products such as solar panels, and revitalising the brand with new TV advertising. Sales reached an annualised £180.8m in 2008.
