Nottingham-based Exco InTouch uses mobile phone apps to help medical research companies find and keep in touch with clinical trial patients. The apps are also used to help patients remain engaged with treatment regimens for long-term health programmes. The company recently launched its Gather platform, which captures patient data across different devices, such as smartphones and desktop computers. Chief executive Tim Davis, 41, founded the Nottingham company in 2004 and raised £3.2m in an investment round led by Albion Ventures in 2014. Boosted by its two US offices, sales hit £11.8m in 2016.
