Nottingham-based Exco InTouch uses mobile phone apps to help medical research companies find and keep in touch with clinical trial patients. The apps are also used to help patients remain engaged with treatment regimens. Founded in 2004 by chief executive Tim Davis, 40, the company raised £3.2m in an investment round led by Albion Ventures in December 2014 and plans to expand into further mobile healthcare markets. Exco achieved sales of £9.1m this year, has two overseas offices in North America, and says its clients include 16 of the world’s largest 20 pharmaceutical companies.
