Founded in 1973 in Great Yarmouth, this oilfield services provider now works in 50 countries and employs more than 4,000 staff. Its chief operating officer, Mike Jardon, 47, became chief executive in February 2016. Amid falling oil prices and adverse currency fluctuations, turnover dropped 28% to £632m last year. The decline in oil prices triggered a financial overhaul in September, allowing four lenders, including Goldman Sachs, to swap debt for equity and take a 70% stake in the business.
