Exterion Media says it is the largest privately-owned outdoor advertising company in Europe and deals with everything from wrapped London buses to digital billboards. In 2013, US private equity firm Platinum paid £150m for the group, which operates in Britain, France, the Netherlands, Ireland and Spain, and is the sole provider of advertising on the London Underground. Under the stewardship of chief executive Shaun Gregory, 47, sales rose to £357.3m in 2014, helped by increased Underground revenue and significant contract wins in Ireland and the Netherlands.
