A large garden, recycling facilities, cycle storage, wind turbines and a car-pooling club are just some of the green features of Fairview New Homes’ planned eco-friendly development in Croydon. The house-builder, which has schemes across the southeast, said planning delays were to blame for a drop in sales from £281.8m in 2005 to £214.7m in 2006. The company went public in 1998 but was taken private three years later and is now owned by its management team, led by founder and chairman Dennis Cope and managing director Stephen Casey.
