Fanduel is an Edinburgh-based online fantasy sports game developer with cash prizes for fans of baseball, basketball, American football and ice hockey, and it operates solely in the US and Canada. Chief executive Nigel Eccles, 40, co-founded the business in 2007. Since then Fanduel has made three acquisitions and raised $363m (£236m) from investors including KKR, Turner Sports and Google Capital. The company is making significant losses as it expands its customer base, with sales hitting £34.4m in 2014.
