This clothing retailer was founded in 1988 when Jules Leaver and Tim Slade started selling T-shirts to fund their skiing holidays. It is now owned by Bridgepoint and has 209 shops in Britain and Ireland, with plans for trial stores in America. The company is led by chief executive Anthony Thompson, 50, and chairman Sir Stuart Rose, 65. Fat Face put on hold a plan to float on the stock market this year. Last month the group completed a £210m debt refinancing.
