Feefo, an abbreviation of ‘Feedback Forum’, collects consumer reviews for clients such as travel site Expedia, Monarch Airlines and Hiscox Insurance. Feefo operates in three sectors – travel, retail and financial services – and says it handles more than 8m feedback requests a year. The Hampshire-based company is led by managing director Andrew Mabbutt, 50, and backed by angel investors including Nick Wheeler, 49, founder of Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts. Sales doubled to £2.7m in the year to March, and are forecast to reach £6m next year. The company plans to expand in the US, where it has an office.
