Since 1905, this Northumberland company has been infusing, blending and botanically brewing ingredients to create its upmarket mixers and soft drinks. Eight years ago, Fentimans started focusing on exports and it now sells to distributors in more than 80 countries. New products, including a pink grapefruit tonic water, helped exports reach £11.1m in 2017. In April, Ian Bray, 55, became chief executive, appointed by Eldon Robson, 68, the great-grandson of founder Thomas Fentiman.
