With a business-angel investment of £50,000 from BetFred co-founder Fred Done, Joanne Whittaker started this company during her maternity leave. It runs voucher schemes that allow a firm’s employees to allocate a portion of their salaries to childcare, which is removed from their pay prior to National Insurance and tax deductions. Payment is made electronically or by paper voucher to the childcare provider, and Fideliti charges a fee to manage the work. Sales at the Warrington company, which includes voucher sales and management fees, have grown 87% a year, from an annualised £6.3m in 2008 to £41.3m in 2011.
