During the pandemic, Finastra, whose financial software is used by 90 of the world’s top 100 banks, moved most of its 10,000-strong global workforce over to remote working. It also developed a virtual lending solution to help community focused banks and credit unions in America provide emergency SME loans. Led by chief executive Simon Paris, 50, the company was formed in 2017 when American private equity firm Vista Equity Partners merged a British financial services software firm with a Canadian payments provider.
