Fisher Engineering

From Thomas Fisher’s 1950s blacksmith workshop, this Enniskillen company has grown to make and erect steel structures that hold up buildings such as Belfast’s new Odyssey Arena and Waterfront Hall. Thanks in part to the strong Irish economy, which has been less affected by the worldwide economic slowdown, Fisher has raised its profits 34% a year from £3.5m in 1998 to £8.3m in 2001.
