Chief executive Bernie Ecclestone, 82, has headed the Formula One group and controlled its commercial interests since the 1970s. This season, F1 features 19 races, including next weekend’s return to Silverstone, where the first championship race took place in 1950. The company’s owners, including private equity firm CVC, are reported to be exploring a listing of the group in Singapore later this year. Sales in 2012 reached £897m, which excludes revenue from overseas operations.
