With more than 15,500 customers and 18,800 staff, Four Seasons Health Care says it is one of Britain’s largest care providers. It owns and operates 422 nursing homes and care centres, providing services such as residential care for the elderly and helping patients with mental-health problems. Three Delta, the Qatari government-backed investment fund, bought the Cheshire business from Allianz in a £1.4 billion deal in 2006. Led by chief executive Pete Calveley, the company had sales of £368.8m in 2006. The company is trying to refinance its debts of £1.42 billion.
