Fast Track 100

Thanks to products from Birmingham’s Frazer & Tabberer, including corrosion-proof steel piping, the water industry should be able to reduce the 3.5 billion litres it loses on average each day through leaks. After inheriting the company from his father in 1984, managing director Duncan Frazer built up the business using everything he had, having sold his house and invested his savings and pension in product development. The launch of the E-joint, which purportedly saves water companies £100 for every new pipe joint, has helped sales grow 118% a year from £1.1m in 2004 to £11.3m in 2007.
