Fruit, vegetables, flowers – Fresca supplies the lot. Founded in 1874 and formerly known as Mack, the company says it is Britain’s largest independent supplier of fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers to supermarkets, caterers, greengrocers and florists. Led by Christopher Mack, this family business sources produce from more than 80 countries and has ripening facilities at its headquarters in Kent and in Hertfordshire. Its potato business, Manor Fresh, manages the potato supply to all of Marks and Spencer’s British stores. Sales hit £359.9m in 2006.
