The popularity of flowers has meant a blossoming business for Fresh Bouquets, which supplies flowers daily to 4,500 outlets including garage forecourts and supermarkets. The flowers are grown at the company’s own nurseries or imported from Holland, Spain, Israel, Turkey, Kenya and Colombia. Graham Hodson and Shaun Caulfield founded Fresh Bouquets in 1991. Sales at the Kent company have grown 105% a year from £740,000 in 1998 to an annualised £6.4m in 2001, when it employed 76 people.
