In a quest for growth, Mark Esom, founder and managing director of Fuel Recruitment, has developed the company’s expertise across four sectors. From a base in the IT and telecoms industries, Fuel began to recruit broadcast professionals in early 2005. Then in May 2006 it expanded into construction. Some 80% of sales come from placing contract staff and the rest from permanent placements. With more than 80 medium-to-large organisations now on its books, the Leamington Spa firm has grown sales 83% a year from an annualised £909,000 in 2004 to £5.5m in 2006.
