Founded in 1947 to provide harvesting services, Kent-based GH Grain today supplies the county’s farmers with storage for 45,000 tonnes of grain. International sales come from advising local producers on types of grain that meet niche demand on the Continent, particularly Belgium and the Netherlands. Thanks to a reputation for quality and a rise in commodity prices, international sales grew 55% a year, from £3.4m in 2009 to £8.2m in 2011.
