Husband and wife Andy and Pranee Laurillard, 44 and 45 respectively, set up this Thai restaurant chain in Hove, West Sussex, in 2008. Coining the term “Thai tapas”, it now has 14 restaurants across southern England and the Midlands and plans to open between eight and ten new ones a year. To fund the expansion, it secured £6.4m from Business Growth Fund last month for a minority stake and Simon Kossoff, former chief executive of Carluccio’s, joined as non-executive chairman. Sales hit £7.7m this year.
