Gladedale is the third company set up by the serial entrepreneur Remo Dipre. A series of takeovers has turned the Epsom company into a group of housebuilders with a presence in several regions across Britain. Sales at Gladedale reached an annualised £237m in 2003, boosted by the acquisition of Bett Homes that year. The buoyant housing market has also helped to keep profits healthy, and these rose 68% a year from an annualised £6.8m in 2000 to an annualised £32.2m in 2003.
