Owned and run by the serial entrepreneur Remo Dipre, this Epsom housebuilder builds homes and apartments across much of Britain. It also builds affordable housing under its Primo brand. Sales were £610m in 2007 as the company continued to expand through acquisition – a strategy that left it with a £478m debt burden at the end of 2006. It bought East Anglia’s Premier Homes in 2006, and paid £83m last year for Yorkshire housebuilder Ben Bailey.
