Not only did Steve Pammenter meet his wife through one of his dating websites; the company, which he co-founded in 2003 and runs with IT expert Ross Williams, now also provides the software, infrastructure and databases for about 1,300 clients which host more than 4,800 dating websites across the English speaking world. Websites can be designed to appeal to sections or all the 5.5m users on the company’s database. With British clients including The Independent and FHM, sales have grown 133% a year, from £931,000 in 2006 to £11.8m in 2009.
