London’s Global Radio claims that each week 23m people listen to its stations, which include Capital FM, Heart FM and Classic FM. Led by chief executive Stephen Miron, 49, the firm also runs two music television channels. In 2012, it bought Guardian Media Group’s radio business for a reported £69m, before selling eight stations to Irish company Communicorp for a reported £35m.
