Glue is so called, according to chief executive Gareth Lloyd, because it works to bind data and information systems. The company specialises in providing “enterprise architecture” to help companies develop cheaper IT systems, for example through better use of existing software investments. Over half the company’s staff work on developing new systems, and it has developed system implementation software with partners such as IBM. Sales have risen 161% a year from £2.2m in 2001 to £15m in 2003, when the company made a good profit.
