Glyn Hopkin is a car-dealership group based in southeast England and offering Nissan, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Suzuki vehicles. Founded by its chairman of the same name in 1992, the Essex firm has grown to 21 branches, 11 of which are Nissan dealerships. It claims a cost cutting exercise over the past two years has reduced overheads. This has helped the company to get through the recession in good shape. Despite the tough market for cars last year, managing director Fraser Cohen oversaw a 12% increase in turnover to £143.5m in 2009.
