Gerard Abbott-Drake and John O’Leary decided not to hang around and see what happened when the building-materials supplier they worked for was about to be acquired by a competitor. They remortgaged their homes and used the £150,000 to set up Hertfordshire-based Go Interiors. Four years later, the company is selling drylining, suspended ceilings and insulation products from five depots around the country, largely to building developers and contractors such as Berkeley Homes but also to hospitals and hotels. Sales have risen 63% a year from £3.1m in 2003 to £13.5m in 2006.
