A big product range and convenient out-of-town parking facilities are among the factors driving growth for this outdoor-equipment retailer, which increased its sales by 54% a year, from £31.6m in 2008 to £115.2m in 2011. Go Outdoors has 30 stores around the country selling camping, climbing, fishing, hiking and cycling products. Led by chief executive John Graham and president Paul Caplan, the Sheffield-based company plans to open another 10 outlets in the coming year. The private equity firm 3i took a minority stake in a £28m deal in April.
