Fast Track 100

Former marketing director Jason Petsch, 39, and former landscape gardener Alastair Kight, 48, started Gritit in 2004 believing that they had a better way of dealing with the challenges posed to businesses by winter weather. Since then, this Uxbridge company has provided gritting services and winter risk management to clients such as Thames Water and DHL. During the warmer months of the year, Gritit does risk assessments for clients and implements policies that reduce the damage snow and ice can cause to a client’s earnings and reputation. In 2011, the company expanded into Northern Ireland and is now looking to extend its services to the Continent and America.
