GSH Group

Founded in 1895 by George Scarr Hall as an engineering business serving the pottery industry in Stoke-on-Trent, GSH now offers energy and facilities management services to financial institutions, corporate headquarters, pharmaceutical businesses and data centres. The company’s customers across Europe and America include Royal Bank of Scotland, General Motors and the property company Telereal Trillium. GSH delisted from the Alternative Investment Market in 2009, and non-executive group president Ian Scarr Hall, the grandson of the founder, now holds a 98% stake. Sales reached £249.5m in 2010.
