Gulliver’s was established in 1961 by chairman Gabe Harding, 80, to hire out trucks from its base in Bristol. Its fleet now extends to 4,000 vehicles, from small vans to 44 ton tractors, with nine depots around Britain. Harding’s sons Philippe, 54, and Nic, 52, run the business, and last year had profits of £12.8m, helped by new sites at Heathrow and Coatbridge in Scotland.
