Founder James Harrison, 38, started this bathroom business in 2013, continuing a family tradition: his father, grandfather and great-grandfather all worked in the sector. Based in Keighley in West Yorkshire, the firm supplies UK retailers and plumbing merchants with products from its Scudo-branded catalogue, including freestanding baths and stone basins. Revenue grew to an annualised £18.6m last year, helped by investment in trade shows and the appointment of a new commercial director. Sales almost came to a standstill in April, but in July the company had its best month ever as a home renovation boom took off.
