Shoppers of menswear and beauty at the luxury retailer helped annualised sales surpass £1bn last year for the first time in its 170-year history. Since its sale to Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund in 2010, Harrods’ Knightsbridge store has undergone significant change. Managing director Michael Ward, 62, is leading a three-year, £200m redevelopment project, which includes a men’s “superbrands” division launched in December.
