Wally Harwood founded this Sussex car dealership in 1931, and today the outlets that bear his name sell marques such as Bentley, Jaguar and Audi. The company, which also runs petrol stations and accident-repair centres, has grown strongly in recent years. Recently the focus has been on developing the Harwood truck business. Chairman and founder’s son Guy Harwood remains in control of the business, which reported sales of £187m in 2006.
