Majority-owned by founder Lord Heseltine and his family, Haymarket is Britain’s largest family-owned magazine publisher. It produces consumer publications such as Stuff and Autocar alongside trade titles including PR Week and Management Today. The company has invested heavily in online content and also stages large events such as the annual Good Food Show, in collaboration with the BBC. Following the close of our research, Haymarket reported that its sales fell to £218.6m in 2011, but profit edged up to £22.3m.
