Laurence Butcher, Shaun Taylor and Anthony Arnold set up Halewood International Foreign Exchange (HIFX) in 1998, with backing from John Halewood, the man behind the £240m wine and alcopops supplier Halewood International. HIFX offers foreign-exchange services, including risk management and broking, to private individuals and companies such as Safeway, Royal Mail and Royal Doulton. Sales at the Windsor company have grown by more than 100% a year from an annualised £849,000 in 1999 to £6.8m in 2002.
