Retailer Meg Lustman, 52, took over as chief executive of this fashion chain in September 2014 following disappointing UK autumn/winter sales in 2013, which led investor 3i to write down the value of its stake by 40%. The group has accelerated Hobbs’s international expansion, opening further franchises in the UAE and Sweden and concessions in the Bloomingdale’s department store chain in the US, as well as launching ecommerce sites in America, Australia and Germany. Overseas sales reached £7.4m in 2014.
