It now operates 1,368 stores across 13 countries, including Hong Kong, China and Europe, and has recently expanded into the Nordic region with the acquisition of Halsa for Alla. It is owned by L1 Retail, an investment fund owned by Russian billionaire Mikhail Friedman, which bought it for £1.8bn from asset manager Carlyle last August.
