Upmarket wellington bootmaker Hunter was founded more than 150 years ago but was bought out of administration in 2006. It has since revitalised its brand by streamlining operations and launching new products, including bags and jackets. More than half its £78m sales are overseas, in the Far East and America. The company is owned by Searchlight Capital Partners and is led by chief executive James Seuss, 48.
